There are honest sellers, and there are people offering a great deal simply because they do not need the parts anymore. However, there is always a risk you will run into a less-than-trustworthy trader, and that is the risk you take.

It all comes down to you taking the risk. Do you buy the part and risk it being a dud, or buy the part and risk making a massive saving? Perhaps only take the risk if the savings are significant.
